1966 WG60 Wagon in Japan - MINT CONDITION

Post by G60michael »

Hi all,

Found this on the net, its ultra neat, yet its Ultra RARE too. Its located in japan someone, it seems to be nearly all original except the power steering setup, and a stack of switches on the bottom of the dash. Also the front and Rear chrome bumper aren't original, and neither are the front seat.

Apart from that its a bloody gem, oh and its a RH Drive to :) ........ If only i had the winning lotto ticket.

If i had the spare coin i would import it in a heart beat, register it and swap out the aftermarket mods.

Check out this gem for yourself, here is a link

Fantastic find, Michael.

This is only the second one that I've seen in pictures, with the first being one in Alaska and in a poor condition. This one is incredible. Somehow the retro-looks beats the one of our Patrols. This one looks like from the 50s.

It has air conditioning, and by the pulleys' arrangement and tensioner it looks factory made when you look at the engine bay. Not so much inside the cabin.

The front bumper is original, Michael. Take a look at the 1973 Parts Manual, near the end. The rear bumper, I'm with you.

WOW! :o  Stellar find Michael! It doesn't look like they even list a price for it, it is a 'Ask'.

Esteban is right about the A/C, that is the typical dealer added A/C that Datsun was using back then. Another very interesting item is the 2 doors on the left side, and that looks like it was done at the factory as well, or very nicely fabricated by someone.

I wonder how much they want for it?

Well, if you got this one, you could fit the whole Patrol family in one Patrol. :D That way you would only need one, instead of 4 or 5. ;) So, drop that freshly rebuilt engine into that Patrol, take some professional pictures and write and outstanding description, sell it for a mint and then you could afford the wagon. :D

I sent the link to work. When I get back to work tomorrow, I'm going to get one of my Japanese coworkers to look at it and see what he can tell me. I doubt it is will sell for 10,000 yen. I wonder if that is an auction website?

10,000 yen = $98. I'd jump on that deal! :o
