Nice score Steve. Don't think I've seen the likes of those xtra offroad tyres. Luck with it!

That is still a very sweet Patrol. Certainly need to hang on to that one for Little Swerve for when he gets old enough to appreciate it.

The car has a few issues I need to fix for rego.
The Brakes squeal like a stuck pig and sound horrible. The other thing is the exhaust manifold gasket.
Have started to check the brakes and fix. Here are the fronts.
The 1973's storage solution untill I can put it in teh garage and the 1972 in the drive
Front left wheel
Front springs will need changing as there is about 1" of upward wheel travel
Right wheel which the drum is scored. This may be my squeal
Left drum on the left and right on the right
Just some shots under the right wheel well. Nice and clean, and good

Did what I thought was alot and please rember it was 35 degrees outside (95 degree Fahrenheit).
Anyhow started by pulling the front left wheel off Rocket thinking about changing brakes as the 1973 is not round and teh inner drum surface looks bad. Plus I'm to cheap to buy new drums when I have Rocket on hand.
Anyhow changed over drums Front Left to Front Left. Then decided to also change the shock over as well. Rocket has approx 5 year old air shocks which I changed with originals from the the 1973.
1st Photo is Rocket after shock and drum change and adjustment
The following photos are from the 1973 with the new shock in. I then decided to change Rocket Springs with teh 1973 as they also are quite new and sit a good 1" higher then Original 1973 springs.
I have to say all bolts on the 1973 have been a breeze to undo, which I can thank the previous owner for taking excellent car of her. Anyhow the fixed front spring bolt is being a pain and will not undo.
This is wher I left it today as the heat and fatigue were setting in and I ould only get the grinder out if I continued.

------------------------------------------
Well after a morning at the beach and then watching "I am legend" I decided to work on the G60 as the heat had died down
.
Changed over the front right shocks on Rocket and 1973 Original. Then decided to start pulling the front springs out of Rocket to go into 1973 Original.
Again stumped at the fixed spring end bolts. I will buy new bolts and just grind them all out. Arghhhh, I hate this sometimes. Worse when your pulling 8 more springs out.
Rocket Front Springs, ready for Grinder

Well just finished putting the Rocket Springs and Shocks into the front of the 1973.
Have gained around 1.5 - 2" lift so quite pleased.
Front space between bumpstop BEFORE
Space between AFTER
Tomorrow will put the springs back into the front of Rocket and then go to the beach.
Next up will be to remove the rear springs, shock, drum and place into the 73.
this is the 73 rear
This is rocket rear, which will go into 73
After that it's only remove the PTO shafts and unit, speakers and som emisc stuff and I can list her on Fleabay.

Well Ferdy came over just i time to help put the sagged springs back into Rocket.
After gettig them in Ferdy helped pull some misc parts of Rocket getting her ready for Fleabay.
We then took her for a quick blat and I scared Ferdy doig some circlework on a dirt block of land,
The front 34" Simex just scrub the rubber flares underneath and geez she looks low up front.
