1967 Patrol I've owned for 33 years

Here is my Colorado 1967 Patrol. I bought in Flagstaff in 1983 and moved it to Colorado in 86'. It has 93,000 original miles. Runs well, all original but the master cylinder leaks a little. Otherwise a great truck. I'm considering a full restoration. We'll see how it goes.

It looks right at home in that picture. 33 years is a long time to hang on to any vehicle, very commendable. How much do you use it, and for what?

I live at 9000' and mostly just drive on the old mining roads around here. The truck has not seen pavement since 1995. It has been to 13,500' and has been over Red Cone, radical hill and some of the other great Colorado passes.

Cool. There was someone else here who has taken their Patrol out on some high elevation trails in CO also, I don't recall who at the moment though. I'm sure the Patrol handles it without any problem.

AS you can see I have the original Koenig winch. I have pulled out some amazing thing with that winch including a fully loaded semi and 35,000 lbs road grader. I still get stopped by the usual questions of "what is that?" or "I haven't seen one of those in years" almost every weekend. I've driven trough shallow lakes breaking 4" ice and the beast still ran with water in the distributor cap. It's been to 13,500'. If you are ever in the front range of Colorado please look me up. I know of 4-5 other patrols they are not on registry. The picture is after a little clean up this weekend.

Sweat patrol. You fully restore it and you won't want to get it back out on the trails.
I just moved my daughter to Durango, CO for college. I made the trip over Black Bear Pass and back over Ophir pass and up Yankee Boy Basin while up there this past August. I love the area and would move in a heartbeat if I could find a job to support all my bad habits; trucks, Jeeps, Patrols,...

Amazing how the 50 year old paint can still take a shine. They certainly don't paint them like they used to. Cool stories about the winch capabilities.

It would be great to get the info on those other Patrols to put them in the Registry.
