Yes, I did buy it and I used it..but I may have another one on the shelf. However, if I don't they can be rebuilt by a carb shop. It is mostly just cutting cork seals by hand.

Plan A - I'll look for a extra next week.
Plan B - Call Then and Now in Connecticut, or just a good old school carb shop. I've had two rebuilt locally.
Plan C - If you need specific pat, if you can tell me exactly what part is broke..I likely have it from the 4 salvaged VZs on hand
Plan D -Punt and go with the NAPA Rochester knock off I have written about within this forum. It is in the red 65 called Santa's Sleigh. It is by far better than any other I have used including the VZ.

Thank you for the reply. MY '69 has been in my garage for the last few years since we inherited it in non-running condition. I found the guy that actually works on Nissan Headquarters Heritage collection Patrol, and finally got mine towed to him. He called and said he finally got the engine running and thinks it's firing on all cylinders but the accelerator pump was hard as a rock and needs to order a carb rebuild kit for the Hitachi VC42 from AU which will delay progress for 3-6 weeks. Once that issue is resolved, will still need to figure out gas tank, brakes and if it will drive....then electrical.

I've seen many posts about replacing the Hitachi for the Rochester, but I can't nail down (from this great site) exactly which Rochester model I need to look for... and if I find it, is it a straight/easy swap, or are modifications needed to install?

If anyone has a link to purchase the correct Rochester, or a quicker way to get a rebuild kit, please advise. Either way, excited to finally be making progress on getting another Patrol back to life!

If you do have one you're willing to part with, that might improve the 3-6 week delay on waiting for the Australian kit!

I did find the parts today. I moved to a new place 6 months ago and everything is still a mess.

Please take a look at what I have for the VC 42 Carb:

Except for the Idle Adjusting Screw, the other 3 are new. I have duplicates of these parts, so I gladly will share them with you.
