Fine thread hex head

Post by plateaucal »

I found this in my shop today. An original Nissan Patrol fine thread hex head screw. It is already painted in Patrol white color. This extremely rare item will only be offered here. Let the bidding begin at....oh, say about $20.

For twenty bucks I can throw in a coat of primer.

That would destroy the original patina and therefore alter its valuation... original patina only comes once.

I found it laying next to the grill, so maybe that is what it is for. Nor sure though.

Nice. I have thought about hanging one on the wall but I have run out of wall space.

That was my plan, but I haven't found a good place for it. We'll see, I have a bunch of old car emblems and some Sixties vintage Saab grills, plus two grills from a a couple of 20's vintage Ford's. I will try to think of something. Now back to the fine thread screw.....

What a shame someone ruined the patina on the head by repainting it, or it would be worth 10 times that. Patina is in!

I question the originality of the bolt!

Please post a photo of the head to ensure that marking(s) are consistent with original Nissan fasteners.

I could do a salt spray test. That will prove it!
