Are you kidding me? I find it at Napa? The rebuild kit with piston is $22 bucks! I have to drive 15 miles to the nearest location that actually has it but a small price to pay! Wow. Im gonna bring the old one to match up but it "looks" exact.

Part # is UP 387. It says it fits 61-66 Ford E-100 1/2 ton vans and wagons. Maybe they just forgot to include the Patrol

How in the world have we misplaced this? Venturing out of our comfort zone brings new options ...and it takes the amperage of a newbie to try and .....hey......hope it prevails. We'll need pics and graphic info and you'll be promoted to Master Cylinder Sargent or something.

One day I hope to be a Patrol Sergeant/General! I have went from knowing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about Master Cylinders to being "somewhat" knowledgeable in the area. I promise to report back all my findings along with pictures and pointers.

Hell yes it did! It was a joke! I spent so much time on this only to find out that it was super easy to do.

You gotta call me when you're gonna do this (951 609-7554) but read through the replies. There are pictures from other members who sent me pics. The kits you will find for 15 bucks have all the rubbers, springs and cups that you need. you will have to use your existing piston. Just clean it good. I highly reccomend you hone your cylinders before rebuilding them otherwise you will be repairing them again soon. You can get a honing bit for 6 bucks at Harbor Freight. Just attach to your drill and push it through about 50 strokes. Sharpens the cylinder up nicely.

be sure to use clean brake fluid on the pieces when you reassemble.

The wind was blowing again today so I decided to clean off a work bench. Among the forgotten treasures I found there was a brake master rebuild kit. It is aftermarket, but it is the correct kit. Problem is, it comes from either Japan or Russia, according to Google. The brand is Miyaco, the part number is MK-40582. When I Google MK-40582, I think I could end up buying some small nuclear weapons. I'm sure I'm on NSA's watch list now.

mmmmmmmmmm corvette parts in a patrol. will that make it go faster? thanks for the heads up. wow you sure have a lot of knowledge and skills. wish you were closer to NW AR where i could come over and learn a little first hand.

Has anyone tried a master cylinder from a 240, 260, or a 280Z? The mounting holes look very close. The bore is 7/8 but its also a dual master cylinder.

The Wilwood dual master that I have recommended before is for the early Z cars. It bolts right up if you get the one that is already modified for the Z.
