Picked up a pair of front MQ springs, shackles & u bolts from the wreckers the other day. Today I slung the front diff up and hung the springs, I had to move out the front hangers out 10mm either side just like Swerve said. I used the G60 steering linkages, had to adj them a fair bit but it all looks like it will work :) .

Disc brakes! :o  Looks like it's pretty easy to work on with no body or engine getting in the way. ;)
Beyond any hope for intervention

Removed the rear tub & roof off the 1970 Patrol I got a couple of months ago to go on my 74, flipped tub over and checked floors, all ok. No major rust just the lower rear quarter panels & top of roof frame, fiberglass roof ok

Hey 250g60
I was interested in what adapter you used for the Ford 250 swap? My grandson (14) & I are starting on a project 1969 Patrol. It hasn't been on the road for several years, engine locked up on previous owner. I have a 1970 Ford 250ci inline 6 cylinder that came from a Falcon. An option might be to use a C4 auto transmission with a different rear end. He doesn't plan on doing any off road, mainly to school & work.
Thanks for any information.

Some people can succeed in getting the disease into remission, although it's always in their blood. The rest of us are chronic and incurable.
Mine is somewhat in remission... The simple fix is to get involved in far too many things -- several of which must be associated with the classic mid-life crisis symptoms; have a trio of teenagers (including one recently got a license) and get yourself a job that overloads you! Perfect combination to reduce your mental space to think Patrol!

See simple! Now, what was I thinking?
